International Level Training Testimonial

My name is Arnitha Frazier. I am 40 years of age and I have been blind all my life. I am the mother of Brian Frazier, a young student who practices at the school of Oom Yung Doe. I, myself, do not actually attend the classes at the school, but have been taught the Gi Gong and Chi Gong breathing movements and some self-defense techniques by the instructors.

It has been one month since I learned the self-defense techniques (by listening to the Shock, Scream, and Run women's self-defense tape) and only two days since I needed to use them. I had just left the bank when I was approached by two men. One man grabbed me from behind and I was able to fend him off by scratching him, elbowing him in the ribs, kicking him, and hitting him in the groin. He then left me alone. But the second man kept coming at me. Thankfully, the instructors at Oom Yung Doe taught me how to do a self-defense movement using my cane. I was able to use this movement to defend this man's hand from hitting me in the face and I used my cane to attack his knees. Both men eventually gave up. I had been attacked previously to learning these movements and it was not as pleasant. Therefore, I was determined that it would not happen to me again. I really appreciate the time the instructors gave me, because it really did help me out a great deal.
